After a chance meeting over the counter of bangbang records, Bristol, in 2005 and many cups of tea later, Mike & Alex struck up a dj partnership through a mutual passion for vinyl diggin' and vintage porn. Now in its forth year, their Hot Buttered Soul events go from strength to strength, showcasing their open-minded music policy of across the board funky-soulful sounds, both old and new.

Along with a monthly, third Friday residency at the hip, but unpretentious Bank of Stokes Croft in Bristol, they've also been busy spoiling the crowds with their brand of funky goodness the world over. Venues include The Big Chill Bar, Start The Bus, Tobacco Factory, The Park, The Canteen, Amoeba Lounge Bar and The Spotted Cow in Bristol.
